We're looking for a few good abolitionists...

AASG offers full and part-time internships to individuals interested in advancing the anti-slavery movement or simply getting an insider’s look at the non-profit world. This is no envelope-stuffing internship; if you have the drive and the skills, you can play a major role in our work. Our interns range from high school students to retired teachers and dedicate at least 10 hours a week in our office.

Programming

Learn how a nonprofit works from the inside while fighting for the civil rights of millions around the world! Working closely with the Program Director, you will bring the anti-slavery message to new communities through targeted campaigns and help build networks between AASG and other advocacy organizations.

Gain invaluable experience in public relations and media communications while getting an inside look at the nonprofit world! Working closely with our Communications Director, you will interface with media and activists across the country and engage in media relations, event planning, marketing and promotion in a fast-paced, dynamic and fun environment.

Marketing & Development

Learn how to raise over $100,000, write a successful grant, and expand and maintain the active membership of over 30,000: become a Development Associate at the American Anti-Slavery Group! Working closely with the Development and Membership Coordinator, you will aid in the planning and execution of special events, fundraising, membership relations as well as day-to-day operations.
